I would like to especially emphasize the interdisciplinarity of both the topic in general and the conference in particular: based on the reports presented both in the plenary session and in seven separate sections, we can conclude that the problem of the energy transition must be considered in its entirety. This large-scale, systemic task, which is on the agenda of the leadership of our countries, must be supported by the scientific community. This event allowed scientists and practitioners dealing with various aspects of energy transition to hear each other, to look at the problems being solved from a different angle, and to start new effective cooperation. We are very grateful to the management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University for joint work in preparation of this conference, as well as for a special warm welcome in Almaty"
