On November 6, 2023, within the framework of the project "Technological Challenges and Socio-Economic Transformation in Green Transitions" (Agreement No. 75-15-2022-1136 dated 01.07.2022) with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation with the aim of replicating best practices, scientific achievements and exchange of experience of scientists, a scientific international seminar was held on the topic: "Consequences and Risks of Energy Transition".

The scientific seminar was held at the site of the National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” (hereinafter referred to as TIIAME) in the city of Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan.
A welcoming speech from the National Research University "TIIAME" was made by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the National Research University "TIIAME", Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Salokhiddinov Abdulkhakim Temirkhodzhaevich, from St. Petersburg Polytechnic University - head of the laboratory "Interdisciplinary Research and Education on Technological and Economic Problems of the Energy Transition (CIRETEC-GT)" SPbPU Peter the Great, Doctor of Economics, Professor Ilyin Igor Vasilievich. Together with the head of the laboratory, senior research staff of the laboratory, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof., participated in person from SPbPU. Politaeva N.A., Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Levina A.I., Ph.D. Dubgorn A.S.
Scientists presented their universities, exchanged experience on the use of alternative energy in their countries, made presentations on the results of their research, discussed the main scientific solutions in the context of energy transitions in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation and scientific topics of potential interest to both sides on the environmental and energy agenda, and drew up a plan for further cooperation.
Special attention was paid to familiarization with the research of the Faculty of Ecology and Law of the National Research University "TIIAME" in the field of the use of alternative energy in the Republic of Uzbekistan, which was discussed by the dean of the faculty, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor, Begmat Kholmatovich Norov and professor of the department "Ecology and Management" water resources", Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof. Radkevich Maria Viktorovna. As in the CIRETEC-GT laboratory, a special focus in the activities of representatives of the Faculty of Ecology and Law is on identifying the capabilities of IT and digital technologies in ensuring the implementation of sustainable development goals and on developing theoretical foundations and applied solutions in this area. Prof. Ilyin I.V. for his part, shared with his colleagues the results of research by the CIRETEC-GT laboratory in the field of potential risks and opportunities for the effective coexistence of two technological trends - digital transformation and energy transition.
“We are absorbing with interest the experience of colleagues from different countries in the field of sustainable development and energy transition,” comments Prof. Ilyin I.V. – The environmental and energy agenda is quite extensive, and only through the efforts of scientists and practitioners from different countries will we be able to offer truly effective solutions. “I am pleased to note that in the person of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, we have met like-minded people and are now planning to develop cooperation in research, including publication, and, possibly, educational activities.”
At the end of the seminar, a tour of the campus was organized for Russian scientists and the history of the university and the main scientific achievements of the National Research University "TIIAME" in the field of implementing sustainable development goals were shown.
